ABOUT US
The pace of life is relaxed in Royal
City, a 1.3 square-mile borough in Grant County, WA, that was settled in 1956.
Drivers traveling East or West bound on Route 26 will find our city surrounded
by agricultural fields and signs directing to local food venues. Elementary
school children walk to school along streets lined with fragrant flowers and
oak trees. The mayor shows up at the local deli shop in downtown Royal City
always, ready to draw up conversation.
You do not have to live here long before just about everybody knows your name.
When people walk into our local store, you are greeted by your first name, asked
how your kids are doing and what the local talk making news that week.''
Royal City’s small-town atmosphere and highly rated school system are big
draws for young families. Because the borough is so small, children can easily
walk to the two-block-long downtown and parents rarely have to drive their children
to play dates or after-school activities.
